Insero Talent Solutions has partnered with a trusted accounting firm to recruit a Senior Audit Accountant in Rochester, NY.

Position Summary

Senior Accountants should have robust interpersonal, communication, and project management skills. Senior Accountants should provide the Accounting Department with operational efficiencies as well as guide junior staff members in completing workflows. Senior Accountants are expected to develop on both a personal and professional level during their tenure with the company.

Management/reporting responsibilities

This position has no direct reports and reports to a manager.

Primary Responsibilities

• Preparation of personal, business, and informational tax returns.
• Reviewing personal tax returns.
• Processing of monthly, quarterly and annual business accounting work.
• Assuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Supervise staff and assist with training.
• Provide assistance to Accounting Manager on project-based work.

Worksite location & conditions

• This position offers the flexibility to work remotely on an as-needed basis
• This is a full-time position, forty (40) hours per week, with additional hours required during tax season.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in the Accounting field is required.
• CPA designation or working towards is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and the ability to assimilate to new
• Experience with CCH Axcess software is preferred.
