    We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer with extensive experience in DeltaV systems and familiarity with Emerson MES to join our dynamic team. This role offers a hybrid work schedule with on-site visits every other week at the facility in Devens, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage automation efforts individually, as well as collaborate with large cross-functional teams. You will play a critical role in the design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of automation systems, supporting seamless integration between DeltaV and MES platforms.

    Responsibilities:

    • DeltaV System Management: Lead the design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of DeltaV control systems, ensuring alignment with project goals and specifications.
    • Emerson MES Integration: Support and troubleshoot the integration between DeltaV and Emerson MES, ensuring smooth data flow and system operation across platforms.
    • Project Documentation: Draft and review user requirements, functional specifications, and project documentation to ensure comprehensive system designs and adherence to industry standards.
    • FAT/SAT & Commissioning: Execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for DeltaV systems, overseeing the commissioning process to ensure full operational readiness.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with large, diverse teams across departments, including engineering, operations, and IT, to ensure project milestones are met.
    • User Requirements & Design Specifications: Collect user requirements and create design or functional specifications that meet operational needs and compliance regulations.
    • Integration Testing: Lead integration testing efforts across DeltaV and MES platforms to validate system functionality, performance, and compliance.
    • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide ongoing support for automation systems, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.

    Requirements

    • Experience: Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience with DeltaV (design, configuration, testing, FAT/SAT, commissioning).
    • Emerson MES: Preferable experience with Emerson MES system integration and support.
    • Documentation Skills: Strong understanding of drafting user requirements, design, and functional specifications, as well as necessary project documentation.
    • Cross-functional Experience: Ability to work independently and within large, cross-functional teams, driving projects forward with minimal supervision.
    • Integration Testing: Proven experience in supporting integration testing between DeltaV and MES platforms.
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
    • Regulatory Experience: Knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and industry-specific regulations.
    • Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with complex automation and control systems.

    To comply with some state laws, the annual base salary range for this position has been provided. The range given is broad and should be considered as a guideline only. Our client will consider a candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, the salaries of current employees in similar roles, and other factors when extending an offer.
