We are a very well-known company with 800+ employees located between Toronto, Israel, and the United States with a large presence in New York City. Our specialty is working with e-commerce organizations to create a secure shopping cart checkout, returns, and refund system for our partners in the B to B space. We are growing quickly, and have an immediate need for a back-end Node.JS Software Engineer to work on this system for us.
What will the Senior Back End Node.JS Person Do?
- Design high-scale and low-latency components to support our growth
- Develop robust extensions that will be used by our largest clients, allowing them to start using our new products seamlessly
- Improve our current architecture and components to allow faster onboarding of merchants
- Research significant e-commerce platforms to create and improve our merchant’s experience
What Skills Are we Looking for in a Senior Back End Software Engineer?
- Expertise in server-side development using NodeJS, ORMs, and relational databases.
- Strong experience architecting, and building distributed systems and microservices.
- Experience with Node.JS, GraphQL, and other web technologies for building web apps and APIs.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large-scale environment with multiple modern programming and database querying languages.
- Great communication skills.
- Self-driven and solutions-oriented, able to collaborate cross-team in a globally distributed organization.
- Python is a plus
It’d be cool if you also have:
- Experience with building low-latency web applications.
- A deep understanding of the eCommerce Platforms domain.
- Experience in building cartridges for platforms like Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, Magento or Commercetools.
- Seen or designed high-scale, robust architectures that process multiple
