    Senior Business Development Manager

    Territory: South Atlanta to Macon, GA

    We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across the industrial, manufacturing, and distribution sectors within a key Georgia territory south of Atlanta, extending to Macon. This field-based role will focus on selling essential facility services to industrial clients, with the opportunity to cross-sell a broad portfolio of solutions. The successful candidate will build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, generate new leads through proactive outreach, and collaborate with internal operations and sales teams to present customized solutions.

    Essential Functions

    • Identify and develop new business opportunities via cold calling, networking, and other prospecting methods.
    • Close new business while managing and expanding existing accounts.
    • Conduct presentations and proposals to groups and key decision-makers.
    • Collaborate with internal operations, sales, and marketing teams to deliver tailored client solutions.
    • Manage multiple prospects at various sales stages, driving them through the sales cycle.
    • Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) to track opportunities and pipeline progress.
    • Perform site surveys and customize offerings based on client-specific needs.
    • Maintain strong knowledge of pricing models and service offerings.

    Qualifications

    Education
    • Bachelor’s degree (required) or equivalent work experience.
    Experience
    • 5+ years of success in identifying, qualifying, and closing new businesses through self-generated leads (cold calling, networking, etc.).
    • Proven track record of selling services or intangible business solutions.
    • Experience in presenting solutions to groups and handling complex sales cycles.
    • Strong pipeline management and ability to handle multiple opportunities simultaneously.
    • Background in collaborating with internal sales and operations teams.
    • Advanced skills with MS Office Suite.
    • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Must reside within the assigned territory (South Atlanta to Macon) due to frequent travel demands.
    • Focus on manufacturing, distribution, and industrial clients.
    Other Requirements
    • Experience selling facility services (e.g., manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, sanitation).
    • Consistent record of exceeding sales targets.
    • Strong forecasting, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
    • Familiarity with pricing strategies and contract negotiations.
