    Job Summary

    A leading provider of integrated facility solutions is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager - Life Sciences to drive new business growth within the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding region. This role focuses on selling Facility Service Agreements and related projects to Life Sciences clients, including new and existing accounts. The ideal candidate will possess a hunter mentality, with a passion for prospecting, networking, and closing deals.

    Essential Functions

    • Generate new business through cold calling, networking, and self-generated leads.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships within the Life Sciences sector, including pharmaceuticals, biotech, and medical devices.
    • Sell facility services and project solutions to new clients, while growing existing accounts.
    • Collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure seamless delivery and execution of service agreements.
    • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and client meetings across the assigned region.
    • Lead and coordinate responses to RFPs, RFQs, and proposal submissions.
    • Conduct site surveys and contribute to tailored solutions development.

    Qualifications

    Education
    • Bachelor’s degree required (preferred in a relevant field such as science, engineering, or business)
    • OR equivalent experience in facility services sales within the Life Sciences sector.
    Experience
    • 5-10 years of experience in business development or sales, focused on new client acquisition through prospecting and lead generation.
    • Proven experience selling facility services within the Life Sciences industry.
    • Successful track record in closing new business through cold calls and self-generated leads.
    • Strong background in developing proposals for RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
    • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
    • Strong oral communication and presentation abilities.
    • Ability to interpret and work within operating budgets.
    • Experience partnering with internal teams (e.g., operations, SMEs) to meet client needs.
    Other Requirements
    • Experience conducting site surveys and contributing to solutions development.
    • Ability to price and sell service agreements and projects.
    • Familiarity with technical and business requirement gathering.
    • Experience delivering technical presentations with subject matter experts.
    • Involvement in trade shows, industry networking, and business development activities.
    • Background in solution selling within a fast-paced, consultative environment.
