We are seeking a creative, energetic and resourceful Senior Business Development Representative who will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying and closing customers. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to build relationships based on trust, consultative sales experience and enthusiasm for early-stage companies. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Lead the development of a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting from initial contact through close following sales process steps
- Identify and help develop strategic relationships with partners or potential customers
- Work with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
- Ensure that sales progress is recorded timely in the CRM system
- Ensure feedback from customers and prospects is conveyed to appropriate staff for consideration and actions if required – become the “voice of the prospect” in planning meetings
- Create, maintain and report on critical performance metrics for all marketing & sales initiatives regarding lead generation, funnel development, website traffic and other agreed-upon KPIs, including recommendations for improving outcomes
- Meet or exceed the new customer acquisition goal in accordance with the Company’s Operating Plan
- Participate in refinement of measurable and repeatable sales processes and metrics connected to lead generation and other marketing & sales activities
- Plan marketing and lead generation campaigns, directing content and creative development that reflect product value and company goals to enhance lead generation – help us tell our story!
- Plan and attend trade shows
- Manage current collateral development to ensure that materials are current and effective with messaging
- Participate constructively in the Company’s planning and budgeting process for setting future goals
- Participate in quarterly and annual planning sessions representing revenue-generation initiatives
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
- 3 – 5 years of demonstrated, successful enterprise software sales experience, required
- Superior writing and speaking communication skills
- Ability to development relationships with both field level staff and senior leadership to drive sales
- Strong problem-solving skills to develop the right solutions for our customers
- A collaborative, team player mindset
- Strong computer skills, including CRM system (HubSpot desirable)
- Industry experience is highly preferred
Working Location, Pay and Benefits:
- Hybrid schedule with in-office meetings around Boulder as needed.
- Base pay $85-90k, with total compensation of $125k at 100% of goal
- Medical insurance premium paid 100% by employer (employee only)
