The Senior CAD Designer will play a key role in delivering high-quality construction documents for civil site and infrastructure projects. This position requires a highly experienced CAD professional proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in drafting for various civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will excel in developing detailed site plans, grading and drainage plans, roadway designs, utility layouts, and more, adhering to the standards and specifications of the applicable municipalities.
Education/Licensing Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience with AutoCAD, with advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D
Experience with local Florida municipality standards (Land Development Code) research is a plus.
Familiarity with other design software, such as ARC, GIS or SketchUp, is advantageous but not required.
Experience/Skills/Special Requirements:
Prepare comprehensive construction drawings for a range of civil site and infrastructure projects, including:
Site plans, grading and drainage plans
Roadway alignments, plan and profile drawings, cross-sections, and traffic control layouts (Civil 3D)
Earthwork calculations and cut/fill analysis (Civil 3D)
Water distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems
Storm sewer design and intersection layouts
Incorporate applicable standard details based on local municipality requirements
Proven expertise in drafting for commercial and residential land development projects
Experience with linear infrastructure projects, such as roadway, water, and sewer systems
Ability to prepare precise geometric site plans, plan and profile drawings, and contoured grading plans
Experience in developing conceptual yield analysis plans and layouts
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle high-volume, deadline-driven workloads effectively
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in design and drafting
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address project-specific requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet project goals
