Senior Civil Structural Engineer
An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join a growing U.S.-based engineering firm working on high-impact power generation projects—with a special focus on thermal power facilities. In this position, you’ll be a key player in a multi-discipline engineering team, responsible for delivering high-quality civil and structural design packages for power generation sites.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute civil and structural design for power generation facilities, including:
Structural steel and concrete support structures
Foundation designs (including combustion and steam turbine dynamic analysis)
Site development, control buildings, and ancillary structures
Ensure designs meet industry codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, OSHA)
Review internal and external designs for quality, compliance, and constructability
Prepare technical specifications for material and equipment purchases
Support construction teams with site inspections, meetings, and query resolutions
Maintain full project documentation and collaborate across engineering, drafting, and procurement teams
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
10+ years of civil/structural engineering experience in power generation (thermal power strongly preferred)
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Strong working knowledge of:
Structural design software
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with:
SmartPlant 3D, REVIT, TEKLA, Civil 3D, AutoCAD
Proficient in engineering codes and standards: IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, OSHA
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work independently and in collaborative, multi-disciplinary environments
