    Senior Civil Structural Engineer

    An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join a growing U.S.-based engineering firm working on high-impact power generation projects—with a special focus on thermal power facilities. This role offers flexibility, career development, and the chance to contribute to critical infrastructure projects that support a sustainable, low-carbon future.

    In this position, you’ll be a key player in a multi-discipline engineering team, responsible for delivering high-quality civil and structural design packages for power generation sites.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and execute civil and structural design for power generation facilities, including:

      • Structural steel and concrete support structures

      • Foundation designs (including combustion and steam turbine dynamic analysis)

      • Site development, control buildings, and ancillary structures

    • Ensure designs meet industry codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, OSHA)

    • Review internal and external designs for quality, compliance, and constructability

    • Prepare technical specifications for material and equipment purchases

    • Support construction teams with site inspections, meetings, and query resolutions

    • Maintain full project documentation and collaborate across engineering, drafting, and procurement teams

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution

    • 10+ years of civil/structural engineering experience in power generation (thermal power strongly preferred)

    • Professional Engineer (PE) license required

    • Strong working knowledge of:

      • Structural design software

      • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    • Experience with:

      • SmartPlant 3D, REVIT, TEKLA, Civil 3D, AutoCAD

    • Proficient in engineering codes and standards: IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, OSHA

    • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)

    • Ability to work independently and in collaborative, multi-disciplinary environments

    Compensation

    • Salary: $120,000 – $145,000, based on experience.
