Senior Commercial Banker

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Banker to drive Middle Market business growth within the Fresno region. This role requires strong credit expertise and the ability to manage the full loan cycle from origination to closing. The primary focus is on acquiring and servicing commercial and industrial (C&I) loans, commercial real estate (CRE) loans, and related banking services, in alignment with individually defined business development goals.
Essential Functions
- Acquire, manage, and service Middle Market companies with revenues typically between $20–200 million, providing commercial loans, CRE loans, and banking services.
- Build strong business development strategies, foster interpersonal relationships, and maintain a focus on internal and external client relationships.
- Achieve annual managed portfolio growth goals.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of risk management principles and covenant tracking procedures.
- Conduct presentations on banking products and services to prospective clients and company executives. Perform underwriting functions and monitor ongoing credit quality.
- Collaborate strategically in a team-oriented environment.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities typically associated with Middle Market banking.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a Middle Market Relationship Manager role or equivalent.
- Expertise in middle-market lending and business development, with proven credit underwriting skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of bank products, commercial lending techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to expand loans, deepen client relationships, and cross-sell banking products.
- Familiarity with the loan sales, processing, and closing processes.
- Strong skills in structuring loans, monitoring credit performance, and conducting insightful loan applicant interviews.
- Proficiency in C&I and CRE underwriting is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of MIS systems, word processing, and spreadsheet software applications.

Compensation
