We're partnered with a reputable civil engineering firm who is seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Observer to join their Team. This position will focus on the coordination and oversight of utility construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, with experience in construction management, utility infrastructure, and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee construction activities for utility projects, including treatment plants, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and permit requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify deficiencies, communicate deficiencies to the project team, and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including daily logs, reports, photographs, and as-built records.
• Review and approve contractor submittals, RFIs, and change orders as delegated by the Project Manager.
• Coordinate and oversee third-party construction materials testing on project sites.
• Utilize construction management software and tools to track progress, schedules, and budgets.
• Operate a motor vehicle to travel to and from project sites.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in heavy construction, specializing in utilities installation and/or observation.
• Proven expertise in treatment plant and pump station construction.
• Strong understanding of linear utility infrastructure, pump stations, and treatment plant construction methods, plans, and specifications.
