    Technical Source is seeking a senior Cost Analyst III for our client in the Raleigh Durham area that focuses on pharmaceutical manufacturing construction, design and engineering. We are seeking an experienced Cost Analyst III to oversee cost for projects related to design, construction and or engineering. This position may require 10-15% local and/or regional travel depending on client requirement. Travel will be fully reimbursed.

    In this role, you will be responsible for labor and expense planning, cost forecasting, earned value analysis, and risk mitigation, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and financial risks are minimized. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure financial transparency and compliance with cost control policies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cost management and a thorough understanding of the construction project lifecycle

     

    Qualifications

    This role requires expertise in cost analysis, planning and control; contract compliance, and reporting for relevant manufacturing projects.

    • 10+ years of experience in capital cost analysis and demonstrated experience with the responsibilities below.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
    • Experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences manufacturing projects and understanding of the manufacturing life cycle is highly preferred.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Track and analyze costs for multiple life science construction projects.
    • Prepare and present cost deliverables, including staffing plans, cash flow forecasts, general conditions, and monthly reports.
    • Ensure contract costs remain a focal point in the team’s financial decisions, adhering to contracts and budgets.
    • Process and manage change orders in compliance with client requirements.
    • Handle monthly billings to clients and ensure timely processing.
    • Collaborate with Subcontract Administrator to manage change order approvals, invoices, and budgets.
    • Work with Project Scheduler to track earned value and progress measurement.
