    Summary: 

    Our award-winning client is seeking a Senior Cost Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Cost Engineer with a leading global consultancy, you'll manage all aspects of cost planning for Life Science and Manufacturing projects. You'll collaborate with clients to ensure projects stay on budget, from feasibility studies to final account negotiation.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Lead cost planning, presenting to clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Manage procurement, ensuring efficient prequalification, enquiry, selection, and contract preparation.
    • Deliver cost management services while influencing strategic development.
    • Provide strategic, tactical, and technical advice to clients.
    • Manage and grow cost management teams.
    • Interface with clients, external and internal consultants throughout projects.
    • Produce cost estimates and reports for project budgeting.
    • Oversee day-to-day cost management for medium/large-scale projects.
    • Implement value management techniques.
    • Manage cost variances, change control, and cost checking.
    • Present monthly cost reports to clients.
    • Conduct value engineering and life cycle costing.
    • Negotiate and finalize project accounts.
    • Update benchmarking data with new project data.

    Required Qualifications: 

    • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying (MS/MBA preferred).
    • Professional membership (MRICS/RICS or equivalent) with a commitment to professional development.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Proven capital program leadership experience.
    • Commercial and financial acumen.
    • Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law, and construction frameworks.
    • Experience managing capital projects within large, diverse teams.
    • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects.
    • Experience managing relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Understanding of how carbon and sustainability considerations impact projects.
