  • Responsibilities

    Position Overview - Senior Electrical Designer - Power Distribution: The Electrical Designer will be responsible for designing electrical power distribution systems for water treatment and renewable power generation projects.

    Key Responsibilities \- Senior Electrical Designer - Power Distribution:

    • Develop detailed design drawings, including diagrams, layout plans, and installation details for various electrical and instrumentation systems.
    • Create and update related spreadsheet documentation.
    • Perform quality assurance and quality control checks on design documents to ensure alignment with project specifications.
    • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
    • Follow and contribute to the improvement of company design standards and AutoCAD tools for electrical engineering.
    • Generate comprehensive electrical drawing packages using AutoCAD Plant 3D and maintain organized drawing archives.
    • Participate in design reviews and facilitate discussions on electrical design deliverables.
    • Interface with equipment vendors to obtain and incorporate accurate 3D models into design software.
    • Support construction and fabrication processes by responding to technical inquiries and providing necessary clarifications.
    • Create field markups of as-built systems and update record drawings accordingly.

    Qualifications \- Senior Electrical Designer - Power Distribution:

    • 5+ years of electrical design experience on power distribution projects
    • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD Plant 3D
    • Strong technical proficiency in power distribution design, including creating one-line diagrams, panel schedules, switchgear, motor control centers, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
    • Familiarity with electrical codes and standards, including industrial codes and the NFPA 70 National Electrical Code.
    • Knowledge of electrical safety, grounding, and arc flash studies.
    • Skilled in electrical schematic design and panel wiring, including power cable/conduit schedules, load lists, and electrical plans.
    • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.

    $85,000-$110,000 per year
