Position Overview: Our client is looking for Senior Counsel for their employment practice. We are looking for both transactional and litigation focused attorneys. The firm is aggressively growing and looking to add top tier attorneys to their ranks in pursuit of building an employment-law-as-a-service practice that acts as outside in-house counsel.
Location:
- Position is open to fully remote
- However, for those that want to be onsite there are locations in: NY, NJ, CT, PA, CA, FL, AZ, TX, KY, CO.
We are looking for candidates that are licensed to practice law in AZ and CA as a top priority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal support and guidance on various employment matters including contracts, employee relations, compliance with employment laws, and other HR policies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of employment-related documents and agreements.
- Act as the primary legal advisor for small to mid-sized businesses, helping them navigate complex employment issues.
- Handle approximately 80% transactional work and 20% litigation related to employment disputes.
- Offer proactive legal advice to prevent litigation and reduce potential legal risks.
- Represent clients in negotiations and before administrative agencies when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in AZ or CA.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in employment law, with a strong preference for candidates who have both transactional and litigation experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
