- Provide project management and leadership for key business initiatives and projects as required.
- Lead Design for Manufacturing, Testing, and Service as a key member of the NPI and production ramp-up team.
- Design and implement process plan for electro-mechanical assembly and testing operations including re-circulating chillers, ambient cooling systems, and liquid to liquid pump stands.
- Lead process risk analysis (PFMEA) and process flow optimization (Value Stream Mapping) for new and existing products. Leverage PPAP and Continuous Improvement tools as part of standard practice.
- Lead facility and capital projects from planning, supplier engagement, approval and implementation.
- Create professional presentations to convey project scope, status, and vision to internal teams and external customers as required.
- Development, specification, and improvements to process and product specific tooling
- Research, design and develop more efficient workflows, methods and equipment including automation and electronic data capture.
- Create & revise process and product specific work instructions & routings.
- Define training requirements & develop training aids and competency tests for training for key processes.
- Work directly with shop floor personnel to identify areas for improvement and work to implement their ideas.
- Ensure process compliance to customer requirements and industry standards in the process areas assigned. Lead efforts to address evolving requirements as standard and requirements change.
- Participate in problem solving teams and participate / lead 8D corrective actions as required.
- Control manufacturing costs by employing effective manufacturing methods and fixtures.
- Review drawing packages and conduct tolerance analyses versus customer requirements
- Initiate and execute ECN for process changes using PLM and ERP tools.
- Conduct process failure analyses to determine root cause and corrective/preventive actions.
Minimum requirements: BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering required. 7+ years working as a manufacturing engineer is preferred. An advanced degree or certifications in management, project management, Six Sigma or technical discipline a plus.
