Professional Search Group OC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator for our large civil construction client. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a deep understanding of estimating processes, cost controls, and engineering principles. The Senior Estimator will lead and coordinate estimating services for large, complex projects while supporting the development of the estimating team.

Senior Estimator Responsibilities

• Lead bid preparation and ensure timely submission of accurate and responsive proposals.
• Coordinate and assign bid items to supporting estimators.
• Troubleshoot budgets and ensure accurate creation within management and accounting systems.
• Identify risks and opportunities within assigned projects.
• Review project plans, specifications, and cost estimates for contract compliance.
• Submit bid-related questions and ensure responses align with project goals.
• Support the Chief Estimator by identifying new bid opportunities and mentoring team members.

Senior Estimator Education and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent technical training/experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating, cost controls, or engineering.
• Clean driving record.

Senior Estimator Skills

• Proficient in project plans, specifications, and cost analysis.
• Strong multitasking and organizational abilities, with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, JD Edwards, and Heavy Bid/Heavy Job estimating software.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines under pressure, and take initiative.
