We’re searching for a dynamic Senior Executive Assistant to join our team and play a critical part in supporting high-level decision-making and budget planning for the Department of Defense (DoD).
What You'll Do:
As a Senior Executive Assistant, you'll be the right hand to senior leadership, keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently. Your day-to-day will involve managing busy executive calendars, coordinating high-stakes meetings, and organizing vital documents and briefings. You’ll be the go-to for ensuring that communication flows seamlessly, from preparing materials for top-level briefings to supporting strategic planning and special projects. You’ll be working closely with classified and unclassified documents, so a keen eye for detail is crucial.
A Day in the Life:
- Manage and streamline executive calendars, scheduling essential meetings and high-impact events.
- Prepare materials for meetings with senior leaders, and support briefings with key decision-makers.
- Coordinate travel logistics (including handling the Defense Travel System) and ensure everything runs smoothly, from booking to reports.
- Keep tabs on the Correspondence and Task Management System, making sure nothing slips through the cracks.
- Proofread important documentation (both classified and unclassified) to ensure it's polished and in line with DoD standards.
- Manage communication flow and support high-level meetings by keeping track of agendas, action items, and summaries.
- Roll up your sleeves to assist with strategic initiatives and special projects.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- 10+ years of experience supporting senior executives (government or corporate environments).
- Active Secret but TS/SCI clearance preferred (Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information).
- Expert skills in managing executive schedules, travel, and logistics in secure environments.
- Proficiency in DTS (Defense Travel System) and CATMS (Correspondence and Task Management System).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to draft, review, and refine complex documents.
- Mastery of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration platforms like SharePoint.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience supporting senior officials within the Department of Defense or federal government.
- Knowledge of DoD policies, readiness programs, and strategic planning.
