    Senior Facilities Maintenance Specialist

    St.Paul, MN | Direct Hire | $30 - $34/hr +

    Konik is partnering with a local pharmaceutical delivery manufacturing company seeking to add an experienced Senior Facilities Maintenance Specialist.  This is a great opportunity to join a growing company and offer your expertise in the maintenance of the Building Automation System (BAS).  In this role, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally to oversee the Building Automation System (BAS), perform critical maintenance tasks, and ensure compliance with operational standards and certifications.  

    Senior Facilities Maintenance Specialist Responsibilities:

    • System Oversight: Manage and optimize the Building Automation System (BAS), leveraging system trend logs and maintaining accurate records to meet certification and validation requirements.
    • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, and other production support equipment, including troubleshooting and repairs to minimize downtime.
    • Technical Expertise: Work with PLCs, microprocessors, and control systems to monitor, adjust, and enhance operational performance.
    • Facility Repairs: Conduct repairs and updates to physical structures, including carpentry, painting, hardware fixes, and other construction-related tasks.
    • Staff Training: Support training initiatives for the maintenance team by providing hands-on guidance and recommending formal classroom training to develop technical skills.
    • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain detailed records, trend logs, and documentation for all equipment and system changes. Ensure compliance with internal and external audits.

    Senior Facilities Maintenance Specialist Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary training in facilities maintenance or related fields.
    • Licenses in Boiler Operation, Refrigeration & Recovery, and Electrical Maintenance (Class C minimum) are required.
    • 3+ years in a regulated environment (FDA, ISO 13485 or similar) with facility maintenance responsibilities, plus 5+ years of hands-on experience in facilities or property construction.
    • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC support equipment. Familiarity with PLCs, microprocessors, and control systems is essential.
    • Other Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.), strong communication and organizational abilities, and the ability to plan and execute repairs effectively.
    • Physical Requirements: Must meet physical demands of the role, including hands-on maintenance tasks.
