Permanent Equity is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their unique, passionate, and small business focused team. This individual will report directly to the CFO and will work closely with the finance and operations teams at our portfolio companies, as well as internally with the finance team at Permanent Equity. The ideal candidate will be as good at building relationships and communicating as they are at analyzing numbers.

Responsibilities:

• Work with portfolio companies to prepare budgets, including cashflow forecasts
• Monitor performance and review regular financials from portfolio companies
• Prepare valuations of portfolio companies using discounted cash flow and market comparison models
• Light bookkeeping/journal entries
• Work with fund auditors, portfolio company accountants and tax preparers
• Generate reports for operating partners, portfolio management and other stakeholders
• Perform analytics on financial and operational data, including variance analysis
• Communicate financial performance/expectations with key stakeholders
• Identify areas of improvement for portfolio companies by evaluating past and expected performance
• Assist with evaluating the financial durability of incoming acquisition opportunities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, or related field
• 3-5+ years relevant finance or accounting experience
• Foundational knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, etc.)
• Keen attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to data accuracy
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Relationship-focused finance professional
