GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER

Location: Vineyard, UT, or West Valley, UT 
Salary Range: $100,000–$130,000+

A top provider of Geotechnical Engineering is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with a passion for soil analysis, field investigations, and team leadership to join their Utah team. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee geotechnical exploration programs and field investigations.
• Perform soil and ground analyses and lead technical reporting.
• Manage a team of 10+ engineers and technical staff.
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
• Provide technical guidance to field inspection teams.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Conduct geotechnical calculations and data analysis.
• Prepare and review technical reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Apply innovative engineering solutions to solve complex soil and foundation challenges.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to expand client base.
• Leverage an existing client/revenue base (preferred).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) License – Utah (Required)
• 10+ years of Geotechnical Engineering experience (soil analysis, field investigations)
• Experience managing teams of 10+ engineers
• Proficiency in soil mechanics and geotechnical/material testing
• Strong technical report writing and data analysis skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• Proficiency with geotechnical industry software
• Project management experience with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Experience

• Experience mentoring or training junior engineers
• Proven ability to develop new business opportunities
• Strong industry network within Utah’s geotechnical sector
