GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER
Location: Vineyard, UT, or West Valley, UT
Salary Range: $100,000–$130,000+
A top provider of Geotechnical Engineering is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with a passion for soil analysis, field investigations, and team leadership to join their Utah team. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee geotechnical exploration programs and field investigations.
- Perform soil and ground analyses and lead technical reporting.
- Manage a team of 10+ engineers and technical staff.
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
- Provide technical guidance to field inspection teams.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct geotechnical calculations and data analysis.
- Prepare and review technical reports for clients and stakeholders.
- Apply innovative engineering solutions to solve complex soil and foundation challenges.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to expand client base.
- Leverage an existing client/revenue base (preferred).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) License – Utah (Required)
- 10+ years of Geotechnical Engineering experience (soil analysis, field investigations)
- Experience managing teams of 10+ engineers
- Proficiency in soil mechanics and geotechnical/material testing
- Strong technical report writing and data analysis skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- Proficiency with geotechnical industry software
- Project management experience with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Experience
- Experience mentoring or training junior engineers
- Proven ability to develop new business opportunities
- Strong industry network within Utah’s geotechnical sector
