PEMDAS ® Technologies and Innovations seeks a Senior Guidance and Navigation Senior Engineer to join our remote team and develop autonomous software for unmanned aerial vehicles. Your skills and expertise will help PEMDAS develop predictive flight navigation software for autonomous platforms. Elements of this work incorporate machine-2-machine learning and AI to generate autonomous routing solutions for optimal maneuvering. As we are a remote team, you must have the discipline to manage your time while working individually. Some travel will be required (25%) in order to better coordinate implementation of complex solutions with our team and to facilitate demonstrations of our solutions to our government clients on site. The Basics  PhD in Autonomous Guidance and Navigation and Control (GNC) of aerial platforms or related discipline with a minimum of 5-years of experience in the development of GNC control systems for unmanned aerial systems; OR a master’s degree in science in the same discipline with a minimum of fifteen years of similar experience.  Experience and expertise in the following software related skills and knowledge  Implementation of autonomous dynamic navigation control system designs.  Advanced algorithm development, optimizing for calculation time and CPU utilization.  Formal hardware and software verification by simulation.  Agile software development.  Willing and able to secure and hold a Top-Secret (TS) clearance.  Desired:  Relevant and current (5+ years) experience either as a general aviation or military pilot, or commercial or military experience as the operator of Class III, IV, or V Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).  Experience with .NET/C#  Developing and deploying software in containers such as Docker or Podman. Preference given to those that have:  A working understanding of meteorology.
