    About the Role

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hydraulic Engineer to lead hydraulic design, analysis, and implementation for complex projects. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of hydraulic systems, a proven track record in project management, and a passion for driving innovation in hydraulic engineering solutions.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Hydraulic Design & Analysis: Design and analyze hydraulic systems, including pipelines, pump stations, drainage systems, and water treatment facilities.

    • Modeling & Simulation: Use advanced hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, or InfoWater) to simulate and optimize system performance.

    • Project Management: Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, including scoping, scheduling, and budgeting.

    • Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship to junior engineers and serve as a technical expert for the organization.

    • Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.

    • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and public agencies to define project requirements and deliverables.

    • Innovative Solutions: Identify and implement sustainable and cost-effective hydraulic engineering practices.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Hydraulic Engineering.

    • 8+ years of experience in hydraulic engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.

    • Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, EPANET, SWMM, InfoWorks).

    • Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, open-channel flow, and pressurized systems.

    • Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation).

    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentations.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Professional Engineer (PE) license.

    • Experience in sustainable water management or green infrastructure projects.

    • Familiarity with GIS software for spatial data analysis.
