    Job Summary

    We are seeking a knowledgeable Senior IT Technician to join our team. Connected Technology is a well established MSP/MSSP firm that has been providing IT services and support since 1996. As a senior Technician, You will be responsible for ensuring our clients computer systems, networks, and equipment are operating at peak performance. You will also assist lower level technicians with IT support requests and assist colleagues with their IT needs. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills as well as excellent customer service and communication skills.

    Responsibilities

    Diagnose and resolve IT related hardware, software, and network issues

    Configuration and installation of new IT equipment

    Installation, setup, and support of VoIP systems

    Configure user accounts in Active Directory, O365 and other applications

    Track customer issues and resolutions in our ticketing system

    Proactively monitor, manage, and support client networks

    Perform software and hardware updates and maintenance

    Investigate security breaches and vulnerabilities

    Collaborate with other team members to solve complex issues

    Recommend hardware and software improvements to clients

    Monitor data backups and perform file restorations or disaster recovery

    Qualifications

    A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred

    Previous experience as a Network Administrator is preferred

    Experience with network management

    Understanding of server infrastructure and management

    Knowledge of backup software and methods

    Juniper, Cisco, CWNA or BCNE training

    Understanding of data privacy and security

    Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

    Ability to work well as part of a team

    Strong written and verbal communication skills
