Responsibilities: • Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs • Supervise and mentor lower level attorneys in proper conflict resolution techniques • Get appropriate documents prepared, such as motions, pleadings, notices, and discovery requests and responses • Prepare for and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration hearings • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings • The Senior Attorney shall perform legal services including legal research; drafting agreements, resolutions, memos, motions, pleadings, orders, judgments, and status updates; and overseeing and analyzing discovery, documents provided by parties, etc. • The Senior Attorney shall appear on behalf of and advocate for clients as necessary • The Senior Attorney may also conduct initial consultations with prospective clients and serve as the principal contact between the Firm and its clients • When delegated by the Partners, the Senior Attorney may prospect for new clients through marketing, networking, writing articles, and speaking engagements Qualifications: • Member of state and local bar associations in good standing • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills are required, as well as persuasive writing and verbal communication skills • Previous experience advocating for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration • Work independently while handling a heavy caseload • Completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree, as well as 3-year law degree from an accredited law school Compensation: $150,000 yearly
