We are seeking a highly experienced Senior-Level Tactical Support Engineer to perform comprehensive system support services across five key areas, including Tactical Software Support, Mapping, Imagery and Geospatial Information System Support, Tactical Network Administration, Training Support, and Enhancement and Upgrade Support. This role requires expertise in both Level I (Critical/Urgent) and Level II (Routine) support, as well as the ability to mentor and supervise Mid-Level Support Engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, train, mentor, and supervise Mid-Level Support Engineers in providing tactical support services.
System Integration & Testing: Coordinate with government and military entities to integrate new technologies, including participation in the USSOCOM TACLAN Program, and develop field test criteria for SOF components.
Mission Planning & Execution: Oversee the planning and integration of mission requirements, ensuring interoperability with Special Tactics operational partners and compliance with FAA regulations.
Network Administration & Security: Install, configure, and troubleshoot VMware server virtualization products, network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls), and ensure compliance with Federal Information Processing guidelines (DISA STIGs, NSA SNACs).
Technical Support & Help Desk Management: Provide Tier 1, 2, and 3 Help Desk support, manage TACLAN images, and address Category I vulnerabilities in support of system accreditation.
GIS & Mapping Support: Collect, process, and analyze GIS data, ensure up-to-date map data for SOA aircraft, and maintain GIS servers.
Training Development & Delivery: Design and deliver training programs for home station, operational, and deployed units, including the development of training syllabi and hands-on instruction of fielded software/hardware.
Documentation & Compliance: Generate necessary documentation to obtain Interim Authority to Operate (IATO), draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and conduct quality assurance and functional testing.
