    Fast-growing Midtown Atlanta law firm seeks an experienced senior litigation attorney who is willing to learn our unique practice area and is passionate about the healthcare industry. Our law firm focuses on defending healthcare professionals in all aspects of professional license matters, including license applications, Board complaints and investigations, employer investigations, allegations of professional misconduct, allegations of drug diversion or abuse, and professional malpractice cases. Our firm also represents healthcare professionals in criminal matters and business transaction matters such as contract drafting, negotiation and business formation. This position requires excellent writing and oral advocacy skills. Responsibilities: • Draft Detailed Responsive Documents • Draft memorandum summarizing client defense responses • Keep track of information and documents obtained from client, submitted to regulatory agency or tribunal, etc. throughout the life of the case • Prepare expert packets • Conduct research • Draft various correspondence and pleadings • Exchange e-mails and conduct telephone calls with clients, witnesses, experts, and other legal professionals • Administrative hearing appearances including preparing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and other tasks as needed • Track time spent on tasks and enter into billing software • You need to have strong skills in the following areas: research, writing, courtroom presentation, the ability to communicate with clients, and use common technology. • We are looking for a team player willing to take ownership of a client's case, including direct contact with clients and opposing counsel, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and handling depositions, pretrial hearings, and trials. Yes, trials. • Other tasks as assigned by attorney Qualifications: • Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration • Active member in good standing with local and state bar associations • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills are required, as well as persuasive writing and verbal communication skills • 5 years of required experience as a senior associate in the legal field • Able to work independently while handling multiple files Compensation: $135,000 - $150,000 yearly
