Downtown Plaintiff Law Firm seeks a litigation paralegal with a minimum of ten years of personal injury litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be personable, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and have excellent organizational and time management skills. We need someone who will become part of our team and can adapt to different situations and work under pressure and deadlines.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of complex litigation experience.
College degree
Must be organized and capable of handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously, and perform assignments with speed and accuracy, creating a professional work product.
Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and initial case assessments
Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and file them with the court
Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, etc)
Schedule lay and expert witness meetings and depositions in standard as well as multi-party cases.
Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
Assist with witness preparation
Provide assistance with case settlements

Proven work experience as a litigation paralegal
Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, procedures, practices, etc
Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail
Knowledge of all e-filing systems and court filings
