Senior Mainframe IMS DBA or IMS Database Administrator

Austin, Texas (Remote) Long Term Contract Need Overall 10+Years of experience 3 References from the recent projects is must.

Minimum Qualifications:

7 years of experience with z/OS Systems platform

5 years of experience with mainframe IMS database administration

5 years of experience with DBRC and forward recoveries

7 years of experience in basic z/OS utilities (TSO, SYSVIEW, SDSF, JSF, IBM utilities IDCAMS, IEBGENER, IEFBR14)

5 years of experience with Batch and CICS Cobol, IMS programming, and problem resolution

5 years of experience developing and troubleshooting complex JCL

5 years of experience with JCL, CICS, VSAM, and TSO

2 years of experience writing, analyzing, and debugging REXX programs in a z/OS environment

2 years of experience with IMS HAL databases

2 years of experience with IMS Catalog

Preferred:

5 years of experience with Top Secret setup, administration, and reporting

2 years of experience with mainframe printer assignments (IPPrintway)

3+ years of experience with ISPF panels, skeletons, and REXX code

3+ years of experience with ISMF storage functions

Experience with batch SFTP and FTPS processing

Experience with Informatica Power Exchange software (IMS and VSAM data sources)

Experience with logically related application IMS databases

Specific Skills:

Mainframe IMS database administration

Performance monitoring, tuning, and recovery using DBRC

IMS database maintenance, troubleshooting, and development support

Knowledge of IBM IMS utilities and vendor utilities

Application support, problem resolution, and environment refresh management
