    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Management Analyst - Strategy, Planning and Business Development (SPBD).

    In this role, the successful candidate as the Senior Management Analyst will support the planning, management, and execution of strategic initiatives as we work on some of the Health Systems most challenging problems and exciting opportunities. The projects are directly tied to the tremendous change we expect to see in the U.S. health care system in both the short and long term, as well as the exciting changes taking place at NYU Langone. As a part of this role, you will directly support the NY State Department of Health (DOH) Certificate of Need (CON) process.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Support all efforts related to submitting CONs and applicable components (e.g., Health Equity Impact Assessments) including writing short- and long-form narratives, conducting extensive market analysis, and assisting with financial / volume projections.
    • Support pre-opening survey processes.
    • Conduct research and analysis to ensure health system leadership remains abreast of various federal and NYS DOH regulatory requirements as it relates to health system expansion and operations (e.g., HEIAs).
    • Liaise, track progress on work efforts and follow-up with internal teams, external consultants, DOH representatives, and others, as needed.
    • Document and maintain accurate detailed records.
    • Recommend areas of process improvement and support implementation, as applicable.
    • Support SPBD Project Managers, Senior Managers, Associate Directors, Directors, Senior Directors, and VP in the successful planning and execution of multiple projects for a variety of stakeholders, including executive leadership.
    • Perform a variety of complex quantitative and qualitative analyses (e.g., operational, financial, market).
    • Drive projects forward by utilizing project management tools in the development of project plans, business plans, monitoring progress, and supporting project teams.
    • Provide support for projects including crafting agendas, identifying key decisions, and tracking action items.
    • Conduct and summarize competitor and benchmarking research and environmental scans, make recommendations to Senior Leadership on opportunities, risks, and key considerations.
    • Carry out major assignments in conducting the operations of projects including being involved in relevant planning long- or short-term business objectives.
    • Develop applicable process and outcome metrics to measure project success.
    • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in comparing and evaluating options and approaches to analyses or project management, including possible courses of conduct, and acting or deciding after the various possibilities have been considered.
    • Synthesize complex information to communicate project deliverables and recommendations to senior management. Provide consultation or expert advice to senior management on projects.
    • Formulate, interpret, and implement management policies or operating practices on assigned projects.
    • Build and promote positive working relationships with stakeholders across the enterprise.
    • Manage and oversee the work of Analysts and Interns (as required).

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree, with 3 or more years of relevant progressive experience in an academic medical center, higher education or relevant consulting environment.
    Outstanding organizational, project management, critical thinking, customer service, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate with others
    Attention to detail is critical, as is the ability to translate to the big picture and back.
    Action-oriented, with experience managing aggressive deadlines and advance multiple contracts concurrently and deliver consistently high-quality outputs on time
    Ability to exercise discretion, good independent judgment, and independent thinking.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present to the target audience at all levels of the organization.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    A graduate degree, preferably in health care administration, business administration, public health, or the equivalent years of experience, is preferred.

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $116,749.23 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
