    Functions

    • Establish and maintain standard reporting to improve transparency on working capital balances, costs, and profitability.
    • Field costing related questions from the business and auditors (both internal and external) including the analysis of pegging and costs movements.
    • Review journal entries, general ledger account analysis and reconciliations related to inventory.
    • Improve upon inventory reporting, including cost analysis at the material part level, labor and recalculation of G&A and overhead.
    • May lead and review accounting control functions and reporting requirements such as: inventory reconciliations, inventory reserve calculations, cycle count accuracy and completeness tracking, excess capacity analysis and other operational reporting needs.
    • Consolidate, analyze, and report inventory balances by product line and perform detailed monthly variance analysis as well as Quarterly Balance Sheet classification (RM, WIP & FG)
    • Calculate and record intercompany profit-in-inventory (PII) eliminations monthly to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
    • Strong internal control focus, including updating control documentation, supporting internal and external audits.
    • Actively seek opportunities to streamline assigned processes and cross-train with peers.
    • Assist in project management activities and ad hoc analysis as required.
    • Provide support and collaborate with Procurement and Operations as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience, OR
    • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience, OR
    • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Skills

    • CPA
    • Internal control experience
    • Relevant experience in cost accounting or operations/manufacturing environment
    • Strong SAP expertise with an understanding of pegging and distribution in a complex manufacturing or logistics environment.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
    • Ability to communicate and work as a team player
    • Ability to adapt to updated priorities
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
