The Sr. Materials Technician is responsible for leading projects, testing, and reporting results to project manager, laboratory manager, or client. This position will oversee materials technicians and will work with upper management to complete all required testing. Work on multiple projects at a time may be required. This position works directly with clients, engineers, foremen, and state agency representatives. Travel is required to job sites.

Job Responsibilities

· Complete weekly timecard, expenses, and mileage reports and submit to lab manager

· Schedule with project manager and clients to cover project testing needs on remote sites

· Proactively communication between project managers and clients.

· Utilize technical knowledge of project managers, upper management, and project specifications to best serve our clients and mitigate risk

· Complete project testing, verify results are accurate, re – test samples when needed, and report results

· Ensure project testing reports are complete, accurate, and data is preserved on cloud

· Adhere to company policies and procedures

Minimum Requirements

Education/Experience

· High School Diploma

· Experience with asphalt, soils, and concrete testing

· Valid driver’s license

Preferred Requirements

Education/Experience

• 1 years’ experience in a supervisory role

Knowledge/Skills

• Construction experience

• Ability to read construction plans & specifications

• Ensures a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively under deadlines

• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office

Preferred Certifications

· ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Certification
