Core Responsibilities
- Act as a senior subject matter expert in the areas of monitoring and analyzing enterprise networks and network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers encryptors, etc.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support to the Government, Project Lead, and other Network Analyst in support of monitoring and managing the customer networks
- Review the work of the other contractor personnel based on government standards and industry best practice and provide feedback and recommendations through the Project Lead
- Maintain awareness of trends and best practices related to networks, technology and IT-related topics and provide recommendations to the Project Lead and Government on possible improvements or changes to customer systems and processes
- Provide high-quality and professional customer service in all interactions
- Use the Enterprise Network Monitoring Platform to analyze and provide data and documentation related to the network performance of any or all network components.
- Serve as an on-call escalation point for other network engineers when they are unable to resolve a ticket
- Provide excellent and professional customer service in all interactions
Requirements:- Active Top Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience designing, developing, and implementing network solutions
- Expert knowledge of Internet Protocol (IP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), Stateful firewalls and encryption technologies
- Working knowledge of network management tools, such as Riverbed, Wireshark, Micro Focus Network Automation, etc.
- Working knowledge of web applications, web servers, application load balancers and storage systems. Must have good knowledge of general security tools and methodologies such as firewalls, Intrusion Detection Sensor (IDS)/Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and access control lists.
- Experience providing Tier 3 support and issue resolution
- Experience providing senior-level engineering support
- Large enterprise environment experience
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Additional Skills and Qualifications- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Higher Cisco Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in technology related field
- Experience in network engineering within the federal intelligence community
- Ability to adhere to a disciplined troubleshooting methodology, and ensure task/mission completion, along with creating and maintaining necessary information
- Python Scripting experience
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with attention to detail
