    Job Overview: The Senior Parking Lot Asphalt/Concrete Repair Technician is a highly skilled professional responsible for leading and executing complex repairs and maintenance tasks on parking lots and other paved surfaces. This role requires extensive experience in asphalt and concrete repair techniques, project management, and team supervision. The Senior Technician ensures that all repairs are performed to the highest standards, within budget, and on schedule.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead and supervise the repair and maintenance of parking lots, driveways, and other paved surfaces, including asphalt and concrete.

    Plan, organize, and execute asphalt and concrete repair projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

    Perform complex repairs such as crack filling, pothole patching, surface resurfacing, and concrete patching.

    Oversee and guide a team of technicians, ensuring quality and efficient completion of work.

    Inspect damaged areas and assess the scope of repair work needed, determining appropriate materials, methods, and equipment for the job.

    Mix and apply asphalt, concrete, and other materials to repair surfaces, ensuring proper consistency and application techniques.

    Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as skid-steer loaders, asphalt machines, and concrete mixers.

    Perform quality control checks throughout the repair process to ensure work meets high standards and is completed on time.

    Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.

    Provide guidance and training to junior technicians, helping them develop their skills and knowledge in asphalt and concrete repair.

    Maintain accurate records of repairs completed, materials used, and work performed, ensuring proper documentation for each project.

    Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and supervisors to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or additional needs.

    Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA guidelines.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    Extensive experience in asphalt and concrete repair, particularly in parking lot maintenance and restoration.

    Expertise in complex repair techniques, such as crack sealing, pothole patching, resurfacing, and concrete patching.

    Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a team of technicians.

    In-depth knowledge of asphalt and concrete materials, repair methods, and equipment.

    Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical specifications.

    Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

    Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, supervisors, and team members.

    Detail-oriented, with a focus on high-quality workmanship and safety.

    Ability to operate heavy machinery and power tools used in asphalt and concrete repair work.

    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

    Education & Experience:

    High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in asphalt or concrete repair are preferred (e.g., Asphalt Pavement Maintenance, Concrete Repair Technician).

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in asphalt and concrete repair, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior role.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment (up to 50 lbs).

    Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and bend for extended periods.

    Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including sun, rain, and extreme temperatures.

    Ability to perform manual labor and work with potentially hazardous materials in a safe and efficient manner.

    Working Conditions:

    Potential for overtime.

    Work is primarily outdoors, often in construction environments.

    Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on project deadlines.

    Travel to different job sites as needed.
