JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the Senior Portfolio Manager is to serve as a leading member of the firm’s investment team, particularly by co-directing and communicating the firm’s public equity strategy. The Senior Portfolio manager will also be responsible for co-managing Goelzer’s proprietary large-cap equity strategies and managing select client portfolios in compliance with client investment policy statements. The Senior Portfolio Manager will also be required to perform in-depth fundamental analysis on select equities of particular importance to the firm and its clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Co-manage Goelzer’s proprietary U.S. large-cap strategies (core and income).
Lead the firm’s public equity strategy, including its allocation among domestic (large-mid-and-small-cap stocks) and international equities and its selection of underlying managers.
Present the firm’s market insights and investment strategies to internal and external clients.
Support the firm’s marketing efforts by writing market and strategy insights and participating in public events and speaking engagements.
Provide in-depth fundamental analysis of select equity securities to support client advisors as needed.
Serve on assigned committee(s) on Investment Policy Committee
Manage select client accounts in compliance with client investment policies and in coordination with client advisor.
Participate in client meetings as needed

Work Experience / Knowledge:
Minimum 10 years of experience in equity analysis and portfolio management.
Expertise in fundamental equity analysis, including application and interpretation of valuation models.
Expertise in portfolio theory and management.
Familiarity with quantitative equity management concepts and applications.
Competency in the use of Tamarac Rebalancer (or similar system such as Orion or Black Diamond) will be required

Excel and PowerPoint skills are required, and the ability to quickly master the firm’s CRM is essential. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are a plus.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), organizational skills, and keen attention to detail are critical.
Ability to produce high-quality work in a demanding, often time-constrained, environment is crucial.

Education:
Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
