    The role reports to the VP of Pricing.

    Responsibilities

    The Senior Pricing Analyst's primary role will be to support the implantation and continuous improvement of a value-based pricing strategy across the company's brand portfolio for existing and new products. The senior pricing analyst will manage price lists, data classification, and driving overall pricing-related initiatives and infrastructure that drive top-line growth and increase margin. Secondary responsibilities will be to leverage our internal system, data warehouse, ERP, and other tools to drive regular reporting and performance results. They will be responsible for helping brand leaders discover and act on pricing opportunities within their business and serve as a resource for the company for pricing questions and analysis. This role operates as a key business partner to the Operating Groups, sales leaders, and other key stakeholders. In combination with pricing, the position will help create the product hierarchy that will allow the company to link similar products across brands. They will also help manage the continued development of the data warehouse's transaction cube, including acquisition integration and expanding the data warehouse to incorporate new pricing analytic capabilities.

    Key Responsibilities include:

    \- Develop and manage price lists that support a value-based pricing strategy

    \- Pricing methodologies by technologies, suppliers, and or brands as necessary

    \- Develop and manage data initiatives to improve pricing

    \- Develop, monitor, and report pricing performance to brand managers, operating group leaders, executive team, or BOD as requested (ad-hoc or through an internal system)

    \- Work with IT teams to ensure pricing is implemented correctly in an internal system or ERP system(s)

    \- Train brand leaders and sales teams on price tools and best practices

    \- Analyze pricing and put forward proposals on how to better optimize pricing through other factors such as commission plans, management bonuses, etc.,

    \- Understand where we are at versus pricing goals and provide explanations of what is driving areas to be above or below expectations

    \- Provide discount/price reporting to sales managers for their teams

    \- Work with brand leaders to create a new product hierarchy across the company

    \- Special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed

    \- Continue to integrate acquisitions into the data warehouse and internal systems

    \- Other duties as assigned

     

    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

    \- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, or Finance (or) related degree

    \- 2+ years’ experience in pricing, business strategy, or management consulting (or) equivalent work experience

    \- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of subject matter experts, managers, and executives

    \- Deep analytical background and a firm grasp of finance principals a plus

    \- Ability to clean and transform data

    \- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and BI tools, preferably Power BI

    \- Energy and enthusiasm with an infectious passion for taking the initiative and driving projects to completion

    \- Must be comfortable managing large and complex datasets

    \- Great teammate with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across departments

    \- Demonstrate innovative and creative thinking and problem-solving

    \- Excited to work on complex problems and projects with significant upside but extended timelines
