Job Posting: Senior Property Manager
Location: Ventura Salary Range: $65,000 to $75,000 per year Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee and manage all phases of real estate operations. This includes personnel functions, leasing, property maintenance, budget control, advertising, and tenant relations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential or commercial management with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Tenant Management: Ensure the highest levels of tenant service/experience, respond promptly to tenant needs and concerns, and manage tenant retention and renewal programs.
Financial Management: Oversee financial reporting, payroll, and monitor budgets. Process payments and manage vendor contracts and negotiations.
Staff Management: Hire, train, coach, and evaluate employees. Provide staff with direction, guidance, and tools to perform effectively. Conduct regular staff meetings.
Maintenance Oversight: Manage property maintenance, monitor work orders, follow-up with vendors, and ensure work is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with company standards.
Leasing & Marketing: Support marketing efforts, analyze market trends, and oversee leasing processes.
Vendor & Vendor Compliance: Manage vendors, ensure compliance, and develop scopes of work. Ensure timely payment of invoices and enrollment in vendor management systems.
Operational Duties: Ensure completion of daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Review renewals, manage utility services, and ensure property inspections and insurance compliance.
Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to state landlord-tenant laws, Fair Housing laws, and manage legal proceedings related to tenants.
Customer Focus: Build rapport with tenants and actively engage in the local business community. Attend seminars and participate in training as needed.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High School diploma (Required)
Minimum Experience: 2+ years of experience in residential or commercial property management with supervisory responsibility (Required)
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
Preferred Field of Expertise: Experience in sales/multi-family and commercial leasing (Preferred)

Physical Demands:
Ability to occasionally lift weights (up to 50 pounds or greater)
Occasionally required to walk, bend, lift, climb, or reach with hands and arms
Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus
Work Environment: Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, and potential risk of electrical shock. Protective clothing or equipment required.
Other Requirements:
Literate with computerized financial and word processing software. Yardi (Preferred)
Valid driver’s license and good driving record
