Our award-winning client is seeking a Senior R&D Electrical Engineer to join their team. The Senior R&D Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the design and development of innovative, complex electronic systems for new products. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, experience with advanced technologies, and a proven track record of delivering successful products to market. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet performance, cost, and quality targets while adhering to project timelines.
Responsibilities:
Independently conceive, design, and develop innovative electronic systems for new products.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Manage complex projects from concept through production, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Conduct feasibility studies, prototype development, and rigorous testing to validate product designs.
Create comprehensive technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and test reports.
Diagnose and resolve electrical engineering issues during development and production.
Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., software, mechanical engineering, manufacturing) to ensure successful product development.
Identify opportunities to improve product design, manufacturing processes, and engineering practices.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D electrical design engineering, preferably in consumer product design.
Strong expertise in digital signal processing, embedded systems, and analog circuit design.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Verilog, or VHDL.
Experience with phased array and beamforming algorithms, acoustic or sonar instrumentation, and translating functional requirements into system specifications.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and manage cross-functional teams.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with industry-standard design tools and methodologies.
