Senior Sales Executive - Freight Forwarding Industry
The Senior Sales Executive in freight forwarding drives revenue by securing new clients, nurturing existing relationships, and delivering tailored logistics solutions. They manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring service excellence and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and target potential clients in need of freight forwarding services, including air, ocean, and land logistics.
Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
Conduct market research to identify trends and new business opportunities.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction with services provided.
Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries and provide customized logistics solutions.
Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure service quality and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve assigned revenue and growth targets.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to close deals effectively.
Work closely with operations, customer service, and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Provide feedback to internal teams to improve processes and customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and opportunities in the CRM system.
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
Analyze performance metrics to optimize sales strategies and improve effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) in freight forwarding, logistics, or related sales roles.
Strong understanding of international freight services, including air, ocean, and ground transportation.
Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and logistics software.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
