    **01 The Job **

    Lead and direct World Vision U.S. Storehouse facilities, overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of Gift-in-Kind (GIK) products through World Vision's global supply chain from donor to vulnerable children. Execute on strategic objectives for the site in alignment with the strategic initiatives of our broader GIK system while maintaining high ethical standards for site operations. Drive strategies for growing regional partners, volunteer base and Most Vulnerable Children (MVC) programmatic work to ensure operational and strategic goals are accomplished. Represent World Vision to local community leaders, pastors, school officials, and donor groups to increase awareness of and engagement with World Vision's programs. Provide strong leadership to a diverse team that fosters healthy team culture and employee engagement. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word, and sign.

    • Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, chapel, prayer, worship, devotions, and leadership of devotions); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
    • Lead and execute on broader GIK strategic initiatives including the support of domestic and international partners outside of the Storehouse‘s local/regional footprint. Work collaboratively with other internal teammates to engage deeper with churches from a fundraising and resourcing perspective when possible.
      • Lead a warehouse/distribution center equipped for the proper receipt, storage, and distribution of GIK products to ministry partners.
      • Ensure efficient and effective processes throughout the facility utilizing Lean principles for process improvement as needed to reduce waste and expense.
    • Develop site-specific executional strategies for programmatic work (e.g., Most Vulnerable Children, Biblical Empowered Worldview, educational programming support) in support of and alignment with US Programs strategic goals.
    • Collaborate with local and headquarter-based staff focused on Corporate and Church relationships and donor development to ensure that the site supports World Vision’s emphasis on partnering with individual donors, community groups, corporate teams, and churches in our ministry. Host facility site visits for corporate and key partners.
    • Represent World Vision’s global/local work at community events, and to news outlets and social media opportunities. Lead facility tours for corporate and church groups visiting the site.
    • Work in a collaborative spirit to network with community leaders, such as pastors, bishops, superintendents, principals, and elected officials, to build partnership and support for World Vision’s work.
    • Ensure orderly and effective operation and compliance with established practices and protocols, including:
    • Ensure the inventory control system is well-managed with the proper tracking of GIK inventory throughout the site and timely distribution to World Vision's ministry partners.
    • Guide and oversee the local volunteer program in compliance with World Vision U.S.' policies and procedures.
    • Ensure all staff are trained and abiding by all Storehouse policies and procedures.
    • Maintain a safety program for all paid staff and volunteers, ensuring that all required safety measures are maintained, communicated and adhered to.
    • Manage budget for the site, maintaining the highest fiscal responsibility.
    • Hire, fire, train, counsel evaluate, and recommend salary increases and promotions for those under direct supervision.
    • Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (eight years).
    • In addition to education or education equivalent, 5 or more years of work experience in developing, growing and maintaining relationships with community partners or customers and demonstrated experience successfully leading diverse teams and fostering a healthy team culture.

    We also prefer...

    • Leadership experience in developing and implementing site-level strategies.
    • At least one year of work experience in warehouse/distribution center environment.
    • Knowledge of Lean principles and practices.

    05 Salary Range & Benefits The full range for this position is $84,600 - $135,400 annually. This applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. Typical hiring range is $90,000 - $115,000 annually. Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity.
