    Job Summary

    RR Berk Management seeks an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to oversee financial operations and record-keeping for a HNW family and associated small businesses. This role demands high confidentiality and discretion, with direct reporting to family members and no external reporting requirements. Primarily an on-site role, this position offers limited hybrid flexibility for occasional personal schedule adjustments, though regular remote work is not offered.

    What you will be doing during your career with RR Berk Management:

    1. Bookkeeping for Small Hospitality & Entertainment Business

    Perform monthly reconciliations and categorize expenses by department.

    Generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports for management.

    Support forecasting efforts to guide business planning.

    Maintain the general ledger with accurate entries for business transactions.

    1. Full-Charge Bookkeeping for Family-Owned Management Company

    Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for a consulting management company, tracking all financial transactions.

    Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

    1. Financial Oversight for Annual Four-Day Exposition/Convention

    Handle record-keeping for a family-run, passion-driven exposition held in Chicago, IL.

    Prepare event-specific financial reports and manage event budgets.

    1. Personal Financial Record-Keeping

    Maintain confidential and accurate records for the family’s personal finances.

    1. Collaboration with External Professionals

    Summarize information from estate attorneys, investment advisors, CPAs, and other consultants.

    Provide clear, concise reporting and information to the family based on professional input.

    To be considered for a career with us, you will need:

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

    At least 5 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping, personal finance, or accounting.

    Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

    Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.

    Ability to translate financial information for non-financial stakeholders.

    Experience working collaboratively with external advisors such as CPAs and attorneys.
