    RCP Management is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team in East Windsor, NJ. RCP offers an excellent opportunity with a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 - $80,000 based on experience. The senior staff accountant will be responsible for handling and maintaining monthly financial production for a specifically assigned number of Associations. This includes but is not limited to accurately maintaining financial records of assigned Associations, producing monthly reports, booking journal entries, requesting transfers, updating/maintaining bank forms, and working cooperatively with the Association’s CPA for annual audit and tax purposes. Responsibilities: • Distinguish between Operating, Deferred Maintenance, and Capital Reserve items when preparing financials. • Determine if an item is a current month expense, pre-paid, or to be deferred to a future month. • Book payroll entries. • Work cooperatively with bookkeepers, managers, support staff, and board/committee members to assist with and explain financial inquiries/concerns. • Perform Quality Control review of financials prepared by others for a portfolio of communities. • Assist Controller with continuing education of accounting staff. • Assist with the development and ongoing review of internal controls and other accounting procedures. • Provide training for newly hired Staff Accountants. • Effectively and efficiently prepare financial statements that are free from error and consistent on a month-to-month basis. • Meet deadlines and ensure that all financials are completed by the 25th of the month – or as required by the client contract. • Assist outside auditing firm during the annual audit. • Attend Client meetings with the Board/Finance Committee as needed or if specified in the management agreement. Qualifications: • A bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. • Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping. • Proven accounting experience. • Strong communication and attention to detail. Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000
