Job Description: Senior Structural Project Engineer

Position Overview:
Our Client is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their Albuquerque, New Mexico office. This role offers the opportunity to design and manage structural engineering projects across New Mexico and the U.S., including markets such as DOE/DOD labs and campuses, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, sports, office, and education sectors. The position, located in a new and expanding office, provides a diverse range of opportunities for client interaction and career advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage engineering and technician staff to successfully complete projects.
- Coordinate structural design scope both in-house and with other consultants.
- Develop, monitor, and manage project work plans, schedules, and design budgets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with clients and contractors throughout the design and construction phases.
- Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans.
- Act as a mentor and resource for less-experienced staff, supporting their career development.
- Attend project meetings and represent Our Client during design and construction phases.
- Take an active role in developing and maintaining client relationships.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
- Minimum of 9 years of progressive engineering experience (MSCE/MSAE counts as 1 year; passing the 16-hour SE exam also counts as 1 year).
- Demonstrates leadership abilities that contribute to the company’s future.

- Experience designing numerous projects from start to finish.
- Experience working on Department of Energy and Department of Defense projects.
- Demonstrated effective internal and external communication skills.
- Advanced project management skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and meet deadlines.
