Pattillo, Brown & Hill, L.L.P. is currently seeking a Tax Senior to join our team in our Albuquerque, New Mexico office.
SUCCESSFUL CHARACTERISTICS:
-Strong analytical & problem solving skills, detail & deadline oriented, positive attitude and the ability to multitask. -Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills with the ability to lead and train staff both onsite and remote. -Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients and team members.
-Preparation and review of nonprofit, business and individual income tax returns.
-Knowledge of payroll processing & reporting, bookkeeping, sales tax reporting, and 1099 preparation.
-Ability to oversee monthly financial reporting including bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance in QuickBooks.
-Advanced understanding of tax laws and regulations with the ability to engage with tax agencies and clients in a professional manner.
-Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook; Adobe Acrobat and tax preparation software.
-Perform other duties as assigned by partners.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
-3+ years of tax experience in a public accounting firm.
-CPA track. -College undergraduate degree in a related field.
