The Tax Sr. Accountant will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for managing corporate income taxes for affiliates and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory deadlines. This role will also play a vital part in international tax operations, focusing on U.S income taxes and tax planning strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret financial data to accurately report the company's tax position.
- Collaborate with external accounting firms to prepare timely and accurate tax filings for all entities.
- Research and interpret tax laws and regulations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with jurisdictional regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
- Identify and implement technology solutions to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the relationship between accounting records and tax reporting requirements.
- Provide support for financial audits of entities.
- Manage tax audits and notices.
- Reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of tax experience, including a strong understanding of tax law and codes.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, negotiation, reasoning, and problem-solving.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to interpret business needs.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field with an Accounting Certificate.
- CPA (active or in progress).
Recommended Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Taxation.
- Thorough knowledge and experience in international income tax laws.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP software.
- Familiarity with common tax research software tools.
