    District Partners is proud to support our client in their search for an experienced Senior Manager – Tax. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic organization and play a pivotal role in its financial operations. The Senior Manager will be the subject matter expert for all tax-related matters, including income, sales, use, payroll, real estate, and more.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise a team of 1-2 tax professionals.
    • Develop and implement progressive tax strategies.
    • Prepare monthly income tax provisions.
    • Design and enforce controls for sales tax compliance across retail and e-commerce transactions.
    • Establish use tax controls for corporate purchases.
    • Coordinate and review federal and state tax returns prepared by external providers.
    • Manage the execution and implementation of tax credit programs.
    • Advocate for and enhance tax software tools and systems.
    • Oversee external audits, including income, sales, and use taxes.
    • Ensure 1099 reporting compliance.
    • Prepare quarterly and annual tax projections for budgeting and payment purposes.
    • Manage real estate tax assessments, working closely with external partners to achieve optimal results.
    • Support Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) tax exempt reporting and filing.
    • Ensure use tax compliance for accounts payable expense transactions.
    • Conduct reconciliations for sales tax, use tax, and related liabilities.

    Qualifications:

    • 8-10 years of corporate tax experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with a concentration in tax.
    • Strong accounting, organizational, and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication abilities.
    • Expertise in applying, interpreting, and implementing tax accounting principles.
    • Treasury management knowledge is a plus.
    • Proven leadership experience, including developing team members’ capabilities.
    • Proficiency with Windows, Excel, and Word; experience with web-based accounting programs like PeopleSoft is a plus.
