    Adam Search Group has a tremendous opportunity for an experienced Test Engineer in the Cranberry PA area to take ownership of multiple manual testing systems while driving innovation in testing processes for our products. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality standards and improved throughput for a product that involves cutting-edge materials science, as well as electrical and mechanical engineering.

    Role Overview

    • System Ownership: Manage and improve existing manual testing systems characterized by low throughput, manual data entry, low repeatability/reproducibility, and high maintenance.
    • Process Improvement: Plan and execute the implementation of new hardware/software solutions to enhance quality, throughput, and maintainability.
    • Innovation: Leverage prior experience in high-quality/volume electrical testing environments to implement technologies such as automation, advanced instrumentation, and efficient data handling/storage systems.

    Key Requirements for this role:

    1. Commercial Testing Experience:

      • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a commercial facility manufacturing or testing sensors or electronics.
      • (Not applicable: experience limited to PCB design or university research labs.)
    2. System Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

      • Proven ability to maintain commercial test systems and troubleshoot hardware/software issues in production environments.
    3. High-Volume Testing Background:

      • Experience in organizations performing high-volume testing (e.g., 100,000+ tests/month).
    4. Hands-On and Self-Driven Approach:

      • Demonstrated initiative and energetic mindset in a commercial manufacturing environment.

    Preferred Skills and Experience

    • Technical Expertise:

      • Experience working with sensor modules, sensor materials, or material science.
      • Understanding of electrical engineering concepts related to inputs and outputs of sensor systems.
    • Technology Integration:

      • Background in implementing automation, data storage solutions, and modern instrumentation to improve test systems.
    • Product Familiarity:

      • Experience testing integrated systems that combine ceramic crystals (or similar materials) with electronic components.
