Senior Test Engineer (Oracle SQL & Excel Expertise) – ARC

Position Overview

ARC(Application Research Center LLC) is looking for a Senior Test Engineer with 5-10 years of experience and strong expertise in Oracle SQL and Excel to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and automating test cases, ensuring data integrity, and analyzing test results. This role requires extensive experience in database testing, writing complex SQL queries, user acceptance testing (UAT), and advanced Excel-based data validation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases, ensuring coverage of business and technical requirements.

Design and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts and collaborate with stakeholders to validate system functionality.

Write and optimize Oracle SQL queries for data validation, performance tuning, and debugging.

Conduct database testing to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems.

Utilize Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, VBA) to analyze large datasets and generate reports.

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand system requirements and testing needs.

Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, Bugzilla).

Automate test cases where possible using SQL scripts, Excel-based automation tools, or other frameworks.

Ensure compliance with software quality assurance standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5-10 years of experience as a Test Engineer, QA Analyst, or a similar role.

Strong expertise in Oracle SQL (writing complex queries, joins, stored procedures, performance tuning).

Experience in creating and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts.

Oracle certification (e.g., Oracle SQL Expert, Oracle Database Administrator, or equivalent) is required.

Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros, VBA).

Extensive experience in database testing, data migration testing, and ETL testing.

Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA, ALM, or Bugzilla.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile environment.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JMeter).

Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.

Basic scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or other automation tools.

Education & Certification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Oracle Certification (SQL, Database, or relevant field) is required.
