The firm’s civil engineering team specializes in site and infrastructure design, including traffic, transportation, parking, and utilities. Their structural engineers develop customized systems for new facilities and expansions, while their investigative engineers support existing projects with repairs and improvements.

    Position Overview:

    Our Client is seeking a Senior Project Engineer/Manager to join their Civil Engineering Group in the Denver, Colorado office. This senior-level role will focus primarily on water and wastewater projects, including treatment facilities across Colorado, the Southwest, the U.S., and international locations. The position involves project management, mentoring, engineering calculations, design development, site visits, and extensive interaction with owners, architects, and contractors. This is an excellent opportunity to work on premier projects in the Rocky Mountain Region and beyond, including potentially international projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in master planning and conceptual design.
    • Contribute to fee determination and proposal preparation.
    • Monitor design budgets and project schedules.
    • Serve as the point of contact with clients, contractors, and other design disciplines.
    • Manage multiple engineering projects from design through construction completion.
    • Oversee and mentor a team of civil engineers and CAD technicians.
    • Attend project meetings during design and construction phases.
    • Perform quality control checks on work produced.
    • Provide construction administration support, including shop drawing reviews, responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), and field observations.
    • Monitor project budgets and review/approve client invoicing.
    • Work overtime when necessary.

    Requirements:

    Required Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, including 8+ years in water/wastewater treatment.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
    • Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering preferred.
    • Registered PE license in the State of Colorado or the ability to obtain one within 3 months.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • At least 8 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment.
    • At least 8 years of experience with a PE license.
    • Proficiency with Civil3D, FlowMaster, and BioWin.
    • Experience in construction and operations fields.
    • Strong interest in participating in company initiatives.
    • Excellent time management, organizational, and leadership skills for managing multiple, simultaneous projects.
