Job Title: Senior Wire EDM Supervisor

Location: South Shore Manufacturing - South Shore, MA

Compensation: $35 - $50/hour

About Us:

South Shore Manufacturing (formerly Jack’s Machine Company) is the largest Wire EDM shop in New England, providing high-precision machining services for a wide range of industries. We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Supervisor to lead our Wire EDM operations and provide mentorship to our team of machinists.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Wire EDM Machinist to take charge of our shop floor operations. This is not a back-office role; the ideal candidate will be 100% engaged on the shop floor, providing guidance, troubleshooting technical challenges, and ensuring smooth production workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily Wire EDM machining operations, ensuring efficiency, precision, and adherence to quality standards.

• Mentor and train younger machinists, serving as the go-to expert for technical issues and problem-solving.

• Design, create, and maintain tooling, fixtures, and components as needed to support production.

• Troubleshoot and repair machines, tooling, and fixtures to minimize downtime.

• Collaborate with management to plan and optimize shop floor workflows and production schedules.

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality control standards.

Qualifications:

• Highly experienced in Wire EDM machining.

• Preferably experienced in tool and die, mold making, or as a Class A Machinist.

• Strong technical knowledge of Wire EDM machines, tooling, and fixtures.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train junior machinists.

• Problem-solving mindset with excellent troubleshooting skills.

• Commitment to hands-on leadership and shop floor engagement.
