Job Summary
We are seeking an Senior Accounting manager to join our team. In this role, they will assist the finance department in their responsibilities while also taking a proactive role in implementing automated systems to streamline and enhance their processes.
The ideal candidate should have experience in the manufacturing industry and have played a key role in implementing an ERP or MRP (Material Requirements Planning) system in previous roles. They should be highly organized, proficient in Excel, and have a strong background in bookkeeping or accounting.The position is a full-time, on-site role.
Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze inventory transactions, including purchases, transfers, and adjustments.
Perform cost analysis and variance reporting to support operational efficiency and cost control.
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
Supervising accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, payments, and customer collections.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports.
Tracking and managing the company's fixed assets, calculating depreciation, and ensuring accurate reporting.
Overseeing the implementation of the MRP system.
Assist with preparing and analyzing management reports to help senior management make informed decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is a minimum.
Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position along with experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Proficient in spreadsheet management with extensive experience using Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting software systems.
Have experience in reconcialing inventory and/or cost accounting.
Have actively contributed to the successful implementation of an ERP or MPS (Master Production Schedule) at their previous company.
Famliar with Odoo ERP for manufacturing, quality, maintenance process is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
